The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the IEEE student chapter, organized a session on “Exploring IEEE.org Your Professional Portal to Global Innovation” on 08.11.2025 (03:00 PM) at the EEE Department Conference Hall. The discussion on the overview of IEEE.org features and membership benefits (IEEE.org, IEEE Xplore, standards, conferences, and professional development) happened. Insisted on promoting IEEE membership, student branches, and volunteering as career development tools. Addressed to improve participant confidence in using IEEE resources. Several attendees expressed intent to refer IEEE and participate in student branch activities.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, together with MCET Alumni Association, organized an Alumni Interaction on "Build Your Career in Investment Banking Technology" on 01.11.2025 at the Mechanical Seminar Hall. Kousika Selvam, Associate, Goldman Sachs, Bangalore, of batch (2013 - 2017) had an interaction with students with valuable insights into career opportunities in the field of investment banking technology, a fast-growing and dynamic sector that blends finance with advanced technology.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with AVERA, IEEE, ISTE and IIC organized an intra-college eight hours hackathon "HACKtheTHINGS" on 31.10.2025 at the microprocessor lab.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, organized a Knowledge Sharing Session on "Research Methodology for Engineering - Support System" on 31.10.2025 at the EEE seminar hall. Dr. S S Murthy AICTE Distinguished Professor, former Vice Chancellor, Central University of Karnataka, Professor IIT Delhi and Director NIT Surathkal provided his valuable insights on recent research in engineering, how to set research goals, the procedure to undertake good research, paper and thesis preparation strategy, national funding agencies, and advances in technology towards research.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with AVERA and IIC, organized a Guest Lecture on "Advancement in VLSI Technology" on 29.10.2025 at the EEE seminar hall. Dr. A. Senthil Kumar, Vice Principal and Senior Professor at DrMCET, shared his expertise and knowledge in VLSI technology advancement. The EEE department students benefited from his insights and gained extensive knowledge about VLSI technology.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with AVERA and IIC, organized an expert talk on "Automated Machine Learning and its Applications in Electrical Industry " on 26.09.2025 (10:00 AM) at the EEE seminar hall. Mr.Arjun Chowdhury, CEO, Enterprise Building Training Solutions, Mumbai, and Mr. V. Kiran Raj, IQVIA Inc, Advanced Analytics & Marketing Analytics, Bangalore, were the experts from the industry who provided their wide knowledge on Machine learning application in the Electrical Industry.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with AVERA and IIC, organized an Two-day workshop on "Machine Learning for Electrical Engineers " on 26 and 27.09.2025 at the EEE seminar hall. Mr.M.Ganesan, Mrs.Jayashree Chelladurai, and Selvan.B.Srihari were the internal experts who provided a hands on session on Machine Learning Tools.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a Parent-Teacher Meeting on 13.09.2025 (09:30 AM) at the EEE seminar for II, III, and IV year EEE students. Over 125 students' parents took part in this meeting and got to know about their ward and provided their valuable feedback. The details of training, internship, and placement were deeply discussed along with their academic performance.

The Department of EEE in association with AVERA organized a one-day workshop on "Modelling and Simulation of Electrical Systems using MATLAB/SIMULINK." 04.09.2025 at NPT Hall No. 12. Dr. M. Kaliamoorthy, Professor/EEE, & Dr.B.Vinoth Kumar , Professor/EEE, Dr.MCET provided hands-on experience on MATLAB/SIMULINK on the aspect of making young engineers model and simulate the electrical system using MATLAB.

Prestigious alumnus Mohan Raj M (2004-2008 Batch), Systems Engineer (R&D), Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Bangalore, provided his ideas on the "AI-driven revolution in core industries," and Gugankumar P (2004-2008 Batch), Managing Director, Manfree Technologies, Coimbatore, gave a lecture on "Shaping the future with embedded intelligence and automation" to EEE department students on 30.08.2025 (10:00 AM).

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted a two-day workshop on “Simulation of Recent IEEE Transaction Papers using MATLAB/SIMULINK” in association with IIC and the IEEE student branch on 22.08.2025 and 23.08.2025 at the EEE Seminar Hall. Over eighty-four external participants and seven internal participants participated in this event.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with IEEE student branch and IIC organized an Expert Talk on "IEEE FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT." on 09.08.2025 at 10.30 AM. The Chief Guest is Mr. Navaneethakrishnan Ramanathan, Chairman, IEEE Education Society, Madras Section, Coimbatore.

The AVERA technical association of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has organized an alumni reunion for the 2020-2024 batch students on 02.08.2025 at the EEE seminar hall.

Prestigious Alumnus Mr. Selvamani Krishnan (2012-2016 Batch), Senior Design Engineer, Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre, Chennai was on interaction with our EEE department students on 26.07.2025 (11:00 AM).

The Inauguration of AVERA Technical Association of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was conducted on 26th July 2025. The Guest of Honor was Mr.R.Ganapathy Ramachandran, Project Manager, BOSCH Global Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore.
