About
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) [CSE (AIML)] was established in 2022 under the leadership of Dr. K.N. Vijeyakumar. Initially, AIML operated under a unified association, Clarentz, alongside Cybersecurity. As AI & ML gained prominence, the need for a dedicated platform led to the formation of Innoviyal, an exclusive association for AIML students. With the motto “Intelligence | Innovation | Impact“, Innoviyal was founded to empower students in AI & ML by providing resources, mentorship, and real-world applications. Under the guidance of Dr. P. Vivekanandhan, the association organizes technical workshops, hackathons, research collaborations, and real-world AI projects. Innoviyal envisions producing highly skilled AI professionals capable of making a meaningful impact on society by fostering innovation, providing mentorship, and equipping students with the expertise needed to drive advancements in AI & ML.

3-Day Hands-on Workshop on Machine Learning
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology, Pollachi, is pleased to organize a 3-Day Hands-on Workshop on Machine Learning from 15 to 17 July 2026 at C303. The workshop, led by Ms. Umamaheshwari G, Assistant Professor (SS), aims to equip participants with practical knowledge of machine learning concepts, data preprocessing, model development, and real-world applications through interactive sessions and hands-on exercises. All interested students are invited to participate and enhance their AI and Machine Learning skills.

The Department of CSE (AIML) organized a one-day workshop on “Spearheading AI Trends with Hands-on Workshop on Gen AI and AI Agents” on September 18, 2025. The session featured Mrs. Karthika Tamileselvan, Co-Founder & Head of Operations, Zequin, as the Guest of Honour, along with expert guests Mr. Rajasekar (Associate - AI Engineer, Zequin) and Ms. Shesha Vardhini (Associate - Cloud Engineer, Zequin). The workshop provided students with practical insights into the latest advancements in Generative AI and AI Agents, bridging theory with real-world applications.
