2.Eligibility Guidelines of JEE Main 2026

  • Students must have passed or can be appearing for class 12 or similar examination in 2024, 2025, or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.

  • There is no upper age limit, the candidates must comply with the qualifying year requirements.

  • Candidates can appear for the JEE Main exams in three consecutive years.

  • Admission to IITs, NITs and other prestigious engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu will depend on JEE Main exams results and subsequent counseling procedures.

2.Select ‘New Candidate Registration’: Fill in basic details, create a strong password and note the application number generated by the system.

3.Fill in the details: Enter personal, academic and exam-focused details precisely.

4.Submit Scanned Documents: Upload a passport size photo, signature and class 10 certificate.

5.Make the fee payment: Pay the examination fee via debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking.

6.Save and Print your confirmation page: This serves as a proof of a successful submission.

Exam Pattern Highlights:

  • The JEE paper consists of 90 questions out of which 75 questions must be attempted.

  • Each subject includes 20 multiple-choice questions(MCQs) and 10 numerical value questions in which 5 has to be attempted.

  • There will be negative marking of -1 for incorrect MCQ answers.

  • Numerical value questions should not have any negative marking.
