Gender Champion club has been established in the year 2015 as per the guidelines provided by UGC in line with the directive of Ministry of Women and Child Development’s Guidelines for engagement of Gender Champions by schools and colleges across the country.

Mission
- To create awareness among students about gender-related issues and rights.
- To cultivate values of equality, dignity, and mutual respect across all genders.
- To engage students in activities that challenge gender stereotypes and promote positive behavioral change.
- To develop leadership qualities among students to take initiatives in promoting gender sensitivity.
- To implement the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and UGC regarding Gender Champions in Higher Educational Institutions.
Poster Presentation
The Gender Champion Club successfully conducted a Poster Presentation on November 25, 2025, at Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology.
The event was designed to promote gender awareness, equality, and inclusivity among students. It aimed to provide an engaging platform for participants to express their ideas creatively, highlight key issues related to gender sensitivity, and showcase innovative approaches toward building a more equitable society. The activity encouraged critical thinking, empathy, and responsible behaviour among the participants.
