Pitch Fest

The event Pitch Fest was successfully conducted on 29/08/2025(FN), bringing together young innovators to showcase their creative ideas. Participants presented innovative solutions across domains such as technology, sustainability, healthcare, and social impact. The event not only highlighted the creativity and problem-solving abilities of the participants but also gave them valuable feedback. The Pitch Fest concluded with the recognition of the best ideas, inspiring all participants to take their entrepreneurial journey forward. The event was a vibrant display of innovation, energy, and collaboration.

 

 

ElectroRush

The ECE department association hosted ElectroRush, a technical coding event designed exclusively for Second year ECE, EC(ACT), EEE, and VLSI students. ElectroRush focused on circuit debugging, aiming to sharpen students’ analytical skills, logical reasoning, and practical understanding of electronic circuits.The challenges were carefully designed to test students’ core knowledge in circuit theory, logic design, and practical troubleshooting skills.

 

Two-Day Placement-Oriented Training on Embedded C & Automotive Protocols

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at MCET organized a hands-on training program focused on Embedded C and Automotive Communication Protocols, aimed at enhancing students' technical skills and placement readiness.

  • Mr. Ranjith Rangarajan, Embedded Engineer, HCL EdTech – Delivered practical sessions on Embedded C applications.
  • Mr. Mithun, Senior HR Expert Advisor, Bosch – Shared insights on industry expectations and employability skills.

 

29.07.2025 - Inauguration and Induction Ceremony

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET), Pollachi, conducted its much-awaited Inauguration and Induction Ceremony of the Department Association SPECTRUM for the academic year 2025–26 on 29th July 2025 at the CS Hall. The event was held from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM. The Guest of Honour for the occasion was Mr. K. Yogesh, CEO and Founder of Codespace Solutions, Coimbatore. An accomplished entrepreneur and a passionate technologist, Mr. Yogesh shared his inspiring journey from a budding engineer to a successful startup founder. In his keynote address, he motivated the students to be innovative, resilient, and industry-ready. He emphasized the importance of self-learning, problem-solving, and building real-world solutions.

28.04.2025 - Department Association Valediction 2024-2025

The Department Association SPECTRUM conducted its valedictory function and a technical talk on UI/UX design using ZOHO applications on 28.04.2025. A total of 220 participants, including faculty members and students, attended the event. The session provided valuable insights into the fundamentals and practical aspects of user interface and user experience design, enhancing the participants’ understanding of industry-relevant tools and workflows. Students gained hands-on exposure to ZOHO’s design environment, which helped bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world applications. The event also encouraged collaborative learning and sparked interest among participants to explore careers in UI/UX design.

26.04.2025 - Intra College Event Helix'25

Department Association Spectrum conducted one day Intra College Event Helix'25 on 26.04.2025 featuring CodeXtreme, Signal Aura, TechZap, and InnoJustice, with 160 participants.

27 & 2803.2025 - Workshop on “Defending the Network: Innovative Design and Security Solutions”

The ECE Department organized a two-day workshop on 27th and 28th March 2025 titled “Defending the Network: Innovative Design and Security Solutions.” The workshop helped students learn about network security, cyber threats, and protection methods through interactive sessions and hands-on activities. Many students and faculty members participated and gained useful knowledge in building secure networks.
