Overview

Science & Humanities – Chemistry

The department of chemistry envisages inculcating scientific thinking in the minds of engineering undergraduates to be fit enough to be moulded as quality engineers and to enable knowledge acquisition. The department presently with four staff members qualified in various fields of chemistry are striving hard to achieve the vision and mission of the college. The team is co-ordinated by Dr.P.A.PERIASAMY Associate Professor Coordinator & Head-IQAC. Opportunities are provided to young entrants of B.E Programmes to perform experiments independently and confidently to promote self-learning. Apart from the experiments included in the curriculum of the university, ours being an autonomous institution, the lab is equipped to perform the theory related experiments to strengthen their knowledge. Chemistry laboratory supports students and research scholars of MCET to carry out their projects and research activities with the facilities available..
